Questions people actually ask

Where are my notes kept?

On your device, and in your account so they reach your other devices and survive a lost phone. Notes are private to you unless you deliberately share one. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored and who can see it.

A Bible passage won't load

Passages are fetched over the internet the first time, then kept in the note — so an old note reads fine offline, but a new passage needs a connection. If it still fails with a good signal, the Bible service may be briefly busy; wait a minute and try again. If a particular reference never works, send it to us and we will look.

Can I change the translation?

Yes — Settings → Notes → Bible version sets the default for new passages, and you can change the translation on any individual passage as you add it. Not every translation exists in the app: they are licensed from their publishers, and only some publishers make them available.

How do I share a note with a friend?

Add them in the People tab using the handle they chose, and once you have both accepted, mark a note as shared. It goes to your friends and nobody else. You can stop sharing at any time and it disappears from their feed.

Someone posted something they shouldn't have

Report it from the … menu on the note, post or comment, and block the person from their profile in People. Blocking is immediate and works both ways. We review reports within 24 hours and remove anything that breaks the rules.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete Account. It removes your profile, every note and study, your posts and comments, and your sign-in record, and it frees your handle. It is immediate and cannot be undone, so take a copy of anything you want to keep first.

The text is too small, or hard to read

Settings → Appearance & Reading has a reading text size that works independently of the rest of iOS, a set of warmer page tints, and a dyslexia-friendly typeface for the reading column. The app also follows the system text size and works with VoiceOver.

Is it really free?

Yes. No adverts, no subscription, no paid features, and nothing collected and sold instead. If that ever has to change, it will be said plainly and in advance.
